Spring 2025 Planning Update #3
The Millikan Class of '75 Reunion Store is OPEN!
UPDATE: Our Golf tournament is now open to Class of '75 classmates, their spouses/partners and other Millikan graduates.
UPDATE: Our Pickleball tournament is now open to Class of '75 classmates and their spouses/partners.
-
Tickets - As you should be aware by now, our Reunion Store is open for business. The Store is where you’ll purchase “tickets” for all the reunion events whether you pay online (Credit card/Debit Card/Apple Pay/Google Pay/PayPal/Venmo) or offline (Checks or Zelle). You can also choose to use the tear-off form attached to the invitation mailed to you or available in the Invitation tab above. Simply return the form with your check.
-
Payments – While all the online payment methods mentioned above are available for your convenience, we PREFER CHECKS or ZELLE. The online payment methods charge us a processing fee. That’s why you’ll see an item in the store called PROCESSING FEE ASSISTANCE. We’re asking classmates who chose one of the online payment methods to purchase ONE of the Fee Assistance items for EACH Saturday Night Party ticket purchased, to help us cover the payment processing fees. If you’ve already bought your Saturday tickets and did not add the Fee Assistance item to your order, it’s not too late to add it to a new online order.
-
UPDATE: Parking at the Queen Mary – there are three ways to purchase parking for Saturday night…Onsite, Pre-Paid and Overnight. Onsite parking costs $25. Pre-Paid parking costs $20. Overnight costs $22 per night. Onsite and Pre-paid are NOT good for overnight parking. Regardless of the method you choose, upon entering the Queen Mary parking lot, you’ll take a ticket from the dispenser. If you chose Onsite, you’ll use that ticket to exit after the party. If you chose Pre-Paid, you’ll receive your Pre-Paid ticket at the Reunion check-in table. You will need BOTH the dispenser ticket and the Pre-Paid ticket to exit the lot at the end of the night. If you’re staying overnight, you’ll exchange that ticket for Overnight parking when you check into your room and purchase overnight parking, of course. If you would like to purchase Pre-Paid parking, it’s not too late…simply place another online order.
-
Hotel – ALL DISCOUNTED ROOMS FOR SATURDAY NIGHT HAVE BEEN SOLD. You can still make a reservation at regular rates by using the link below or booking directly with the Queen Mary.
-
-
Golf – Our golf tournament is now open to Class of '75 classmates, their spouses/partners and other Millikan graduates. Cost is $75 and includes a cart and lunch.
-
Pickleball – Our Pickleball tournament is now open to Class of '75 classmates and their spouses/partners. New to Reunion Weekend this year is our 32-player Pickleball tournament. The cost is $25 including balls, water and prizes. It will be a friendly Round Robin-style tournament. We will group players into two skill levels…Beginner/Intermediate and Intermediate/Advanced. You will change partners approximately every 14-15 minutes.
-
Golf Sponsors – We are looking for nine Hole Sponsors for our tournament. If you are a business-owner or are associated with a business in the Southern California area and would like to advertise your business or are an individual who would like to honor friends, family or a life event, this is your chance. We are offering three levels of sponsorship…Bronze at $100, Silver at $175, and Gold at $250. Bronze sponsorship gets you a sign at the tee. Silver sponsorship gets a sign and mention on our website. Gold sponsorship gets a sign, a website mention and an announcement at the Saturday party. If interested, contact us at millikanrams75@gmail.com.
-
RV Parking – For those recreational vehicle enthusiasts, we want to make sure you’re aware of the closest RV site, just a short Uber/Lyft to the Queen Mary.
-
Golden Shore RV Resort, 101 Golden Shore, Long Beach, CA 90802
-
(800) 668-3581
-
-
And if, for some reason you choose not to join us for reunion weekend, how about sending us a current picture...send to millikanrams75@gmail.com
Thank You – Thanks to all the classmates who have already made their purchases! It pays to buy early as the cost of a Saturday Night Party ticket increases on June 1, 2025.

WINTER 2024 UPDATE #2
Thanks to all of you who have responded to our calls, emails and our survey. It is helpful to us as we plan for our big weekend.
Classmate Search Project –
-
There are 1042 classmates in our yearbook
-
93 classmates are deceased (that we are aware of)
-
59 classmates are ‘lost’ (we have NO information about them) (down from 77 in August)
-
We have email addresses for 520 classmates (up from 278 before the Classmate Search Project)
You can view our In Memory Of list and Lost List in the Classmates tab.
We also have a Missing Emails List of all our classmates for whom we do NOT have email addresses. If you see a classmate's name that you are in contact with, please have them get in touch with us through the Contact form, PM us on Facebook or use our email address millikanrams75@gmail.com. We do NOT share personal information without the graduate’s permission.
50th Reunion Survey –
You can still take our survey here: ‘75 Ram’s 50th Reunion Survey. These are the take-aways from the 153 respondents as of Jan. 29th.
-
239 said YES they plan to come – this includes ‘significant others’
-
September was the most popular month
-
Friday night and Sunday brunch were the most popular ‘extra’ activities
-
Both a Pickleball and Golf tournament were highly rated
-
Wine tasting was also of interest
-
There was enough interest in a post-event cruise that we will look into planning one
-
A majority would prefer just background music and no dance music (even later in the evening)
-
Some of the mixer ideas for the night of the reunion sounded fun, but reviews of past reunions have told us that people would prefer to chat than listen to the committee talk or organize forced interactions. Also, many wouldn’t work in a large room with 300+ people
-
There were also suggestions for slideshows/videos. We would encourage you to check out our previous productions on our web page. If you are interested in adding a current photo of you and/or your family, please send it to our email address with any description needed
-
A roving photographer was suggested, but with our cell phones, we are ALL roving photographers. We will provide a hashtag for the evening so that everyone can share on social media
-
Our dress code will be determined by the venue but will be as casual as possible.
-
Alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages will be available as cash and carry
Our top three venues are the Queen Mary and The Grand (both in Long Beach) and Old Ranch Country Club (Seal Beach). Most will not make commitments until 18 months prior. To make a final venue choice, we will be looking into September 2025 availability, costs of the event (room rental, per plate cost for buffet, parking), any hotel discounts and then we will add the extras (decorations, Photo Booth, printing, etc.). The various additional (non-Saturday night) activities will be additional costs.
Thanks again for your participation. We’ll keep you posted as we make progress.

Your 2025 50th Reunion Committee
SUMMER 2023 UPDATE
Planning for our 50th Reunion in 2025 has begun!
We know it is hard to believe, but it's time to start thinking about our 50th reunion. We usually start about 2 years ahead of time. First step is to make as many connections as we can. We will use our Facebook and Classmates.com pages. We will most likely continue to use this web page, but there are some costs that we need to consider first. We will occasionally use email (it is much more work to use this method). And you can always contact us at MillikanRams75@gmail.com.
If you have changed your email or snail mail since the 40th reunion, please send the corrections (via email) to us right away. Know that we do NOT share your information without your permission - even with other classmates.
Encourage friends you’d like to see at the reunion to join one of these communication methods so they can stay current, too.
We’d like to encourage you to check the website where we have pictures of previous reunions and our Lost and In Memory Of lists. If you see any errors, please let us know right away!
While most of our previous committee is returning to bring you an evening/weekend of fun, if you’d like to join in that fun, our first meeting will be August 9th at Gwen Charleville Harper’s home in Long Beach (email us to get the address and time).
In the meantime, if you have suggestions of what you would like to see happen, let us know.
Your 2025 50th Reunion Committee
